Smoothie bowls are a favorite of mine because they’re simple, nutritious, and customizable. Below is a recipe for a strawberry banana smoothie bowl in a coconut cracked in half. I topped it with blueberries, strawberries, and shredded coconut, but you can select whatever toppings your heart desires! This recipe is packed with Vitamin C and Potassium.
Ingredients:
1 coconut
1.5 cups almond milk
1 cup frozen or fresh strawberries
1 medium banana, sliced
1. Crack a coconut in half. This is the hardest part of the recipe. The easiest way to do this is to hit the coconut with a chef knife around its perimeter.
2. Place the almond milk (coconut milk or regular milk would work as well), strawberries, and banana in the blender. Blend until smooth.
3. Pour smoothie into coconut halves, leaving a little room for toppings.
4. Add toppings to your bowl. Choose based on your personal preferences and dietary goals.
5. Enjoy!
